Omega Watch Company

The Omega Watch Company was founded in 1848 by Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Omega is the last letter of the Greek alphabet symbolizing accomplishment and perfection.  Omega has an outstanding history. Omega first mass-produced the pocket watch in 1894. By 1902 Omega introduced the first wrist watch. The brand's reputation for innovation and quality has led to numerous awards over the company's 157-year history. In fact, Omega’s Speedmaster watch was chosen by NASA as its official chronometer in 1965 and 4 years later was the first watch to be worn on the moon by Neil Armstrong on July 21, 1969.
